Freezing

Well its been a while since I posted last. I guess a mixture between being busy, sick and lazy.

Not much has been going on, was doing some work at OEC, and hunting a job. I’ve got one page (front is filled, working on back now) of jobs I’ve applied for. There’s only one or two in which I was asked in for an interview, the others had either been filled or the business wasn’t hiring.

I’ve been looking into becoming an Electrician. I first need to take an aptitude test, if I pass that I can start my apprenticeship I believe (which involves working with other electricians and such). I need to try to get a hold of the local IBEW since they seem to do the testing, I left a message but no call back yet. Once its all setup, I need $44 for the cost of the test. I need to brush up a little on Algebra since that math plays a role in electrical work. Cory and I both need to brush up on math we think, since he’s gonna go back to school to do this stuff. Wish I could say it was me who influenced him to do so.
Sad to say I don’t think I’ll have any support from my family, as this would be under the Not looking for a job category. Plus I’m stupid and don’t know what I’m doing and electricity is dangerous and I’ll kill myself..  Oh well, Cory gave me some encouragement so I’m gonna give it a shot.

I’m getting a Cactuar (Sabotender) hat for Christmas! From Toys N Joys. (GREAT company by the way, buy stuff from them! Large selection of all sorts of games, consoles, (Japanese consoles and games as well), Anime/Manga/Game items (apparel, wall posters, toys, etc).

Sadly as you can see the hat is brown, they used to offer a green one as can be seen here. But, I’ll be very happy with the brown one as it still is a Cactuar and I loooove Cactuars.  Plus my current beanie is coming un-stitched. Its a nice beanie, got it at Wal Mart for like $5, pretty thick and warm, just some thread got pulled out and the warm insulation is coming apart from the outside of the beanie.

My health has been up and down, I’ve been down to 135-140lbs but have went back up to 145, I need to drop a few pounds again to get to where I want to be at least. I’ve had this headache that won’t seem to go away, its always there now it seems, then at times, it will start to get worse and worse, then it will eventually come back down. Kinda feels like my migraines sometimes. Not sure what it could be, been also very nauseous with it.
My stomach has been driving me crazy. I’m completely out of all my reflux meds. (Zegerid, Nexium, Kapidex) I did manage to find some old Zegerid powder solution that you mix in a little water and drink so that’s been holding me over for now, doesn’t seem to last as long but it does help when the pain/burning gets to be bad.

It dropped down to 16.8F so far tonight, and its just 23:50. Was in the Low to mid 30s during the day today, and with the wind it made walking not fun. I managed to walk down the block and back some but all that cold was hurting my face pretty bad and my hands (even with gloves).

Not played much Maple Story since my last post about it, its still a fun game but I just end up finding other stuff to do, but I need to sit down and play it again sometime soon.

I hope to have my blog back onto my own server again soon, I gotta get FQ paid up and find a new domain name as my bradleynoe.com one got swiped as I had no way to pay for the renewal. ._. Figures I’d lose the one domain I had for myself and not for system/site usage, and what’s worse, its my name! But keep your eyes out for news about the move. These posts will be migrated over and a big overhaul of the blog site will be in store as well.

Well, I suppose that’s all for tonight. Lunesta has me seeing those darn butterfly moth creatures, so I know its time for sleeps.

Bleh lungs

Well I’ve been sick yet again, thought it was the flu but finally went to the doctor about it Thursday when I woke up around 7am hardly able to breathe and talking didn’t work very well. My voice has barely recovered still so it’s been hard for me to talk to anyone.

My doctor told me what the illness was but I can not remember now, started with a “P” but a lot of respiratory illnesses do. On Avelox for it, started taking that Tuesday and kept on and was told to just keep taking that rather than changing treatments. Was also written a script for Tessalon Pearles (Great stuff, though sometimes it doesn’t do much for the cough) but have been unable to fill it yet.

Haven’t done much on MapleStory, finally got like level 24-26, one of those and haven’t really played. Mainly logged in for 3 hours each day so I can get this quest done and get my Diligent Explorer medal. Not played any DFO in awhile since no one wants to play with me on there.

I’ve been looking at building a new PC lately, not having much luck with what I want. I need an AM2/2+/3 (preferably a 2+ or 3 board), with Nvidia chipset. I’ve found one from Asus, which is a great brand for me since I’ve had such great experiences with my other boards from them. But it seems to lack in extra features and pretty design, but if it gets the job done that’s just fine with me. I found a flashier board but its about a year old (which can be good as its been out longer and probably got some fixes out if it needed any) so kinda bent on which to get. Also need to pick out a CPU I would like, Possibly a Phenom II x4 or something would be great. I’d like to get one of those Phenom II TWKR ones but they aren’t too easy to find (one on eBay now though for about 200 at the moment, but alas no way to get it and probably won’t ever have the opportunity to again) or maybe one of the Phenom Blacks would be cool. I’ll also need RAM since my current one uses DDR, I’ve got a decent Antec power supply, but it’s not too powerful and won’t be able to handle the new stuff (it dies on me when I turn on my new cold cathode tubes I got, but the lights I have on in it now are pretty bright). Video card can wait if needed, I’ve got a 7600GT that I love but its out of date quite a bit now and the 9000 series is pretty affordable now, but I’d rather build with what I have now and save up if needed to get a nicer card later on.

The two boards that I’ve seen (if you know of more good ones that will meet my specifications please comment and let me know!) are the Asus M4N82 Deluxe and the ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe (I think thats the older board I couldn’t find the bookmark for it but the model # sounds about right). Anyone have experience with those and would like to share with me please feel free.
I’m set on a case right now, CMStacker (original not the 820  or whatever others they have), but I would like to pick up one of the Cooler Master HAF cases, I found one model of it for $99, but I can get the higher end model with extra bay and not plastic parts for something like $20 more but I could still build with the motherboard, processor ram and power supply and then upgrade case and video later if need be.

That’s about all I can think of now, I don’t think anyone reads this stuff anyway but I never know. Hopefully some of those that do will comment one day.

Moar MapleStory

Well today was goodish. I got Vaprotan to level 19 on MapleStory! One more level then I can begin the Knight of Cygnus stuff. I am really wanting to do Dawn Warrior, it looks so fancy with its armors and swords and things they show. But some of the others are tempting as well.

I did find out that you have to start over, once you complete the quest for the KoC thing it does a new character creation popup deal where you have to name your new character (I wanted Vaprotan as my main character on this game ._.) and pick the class and stuff eventually and start off at level 1. so 19 levels to get back to where I was.
I’m somewhat curious as to if I would be able to go kill stuffs for the quests I did that required you to bring just items, that way I could get exp from those quests for my new character, eventually doing the kill stuff ones, etc.

I didn’t get on DFO any today since I was pretty busy, barely had time to do anything on MS besides get to 19 (wanted to get 20 tonight but alas, got busy and it got late).

Anyway time for bed.

Doctor followup

Nothing much at the doctor, he was concerned about my weight loss again, down to 138ish. He thought it might be thyroid but was looking at my last test on that stuff and it was normal so not sure what the plan is with it.

He checked my hemoglobin while I was there, I believe it was at 11.2 when I checked online, that’s 2 points up from when I was in the hospital, which is good. I’m sure it’ll stay around 10-11 range as it usually does unfortunately.

I mentioned that I had another attack of the foot drop problem with my peroneal nerve palsy stuff the other weekend and me asked a thing or two but otherwise nothing else done about it. Friday night it started up yet again and have been having little attacks of it throughout the weekend, not so much today but a little. It’s slightly freaky as I just can’t make my toes (big toe and the two or three beside it) (left leg btw) point upwards. When it first starts I can still move it and it provides very little resistance to me pushing down on toe with my hand as opposed to my other foot which resists the pushing quite a bit.

Was also able to get a few Nexium and Lunesta samples as well as a new med (samples too) of Kapidex. They seem to be pretty good so far with helping my reflux, but I do tend to have to take my Nexium sometimes to reduce the reflux to a decent level.

Not much else going on, I started playing two new games recently. Both by Nexon. The first is Dungeon Fighter Online, it’s sorta like streets of rage mixed with an rpg and online. It’s pretty fun, just got level 18 earlier today and unlocked my sub-class for my Slayer character, now I’m a Blade Master. I play as Quietcub, level 18 Blade Master usually on channel 10 or 12 Grand Flores – East.

The second game is MapleStory, it’s a fun 2D, side-scrolling MMORPG to put it simply. Wikipedia can explain better, or the MS site I linked to. I play on the Bellocan server as a level 15 Warrior named Vaprotan. I’ve not been playing but a few days, but I have really enjoyed it so far. I don’t know anyone on there so if you play feel free to drop me a note and maybe we can meet up or such.

Bleh few months

Its been awhile since I last wrote in my main blog (its possible this will become my main blog for awhile, possibly permanently) and not a whole lot has been going on.

My mom had to have colon surgery back in May to remove a section of her colon containing this mean looking polyp and to get it out before it became cancerous.

My aunt and cousin came up to visit last month, during that time my grandpa had gotten sick and ended up going to Urgent Care and they told him he may have had a heart attack recently and he needed to get to the ED. His EKG showed an arrhythmia and his BP/HR were weird. Ended up getting admitted for bronchitis and the arrhythmia resolved and no heart attack.

I was admitted to the hospital last weekend for a number of days due to an Uppger GI bleed. I was awake for 37 hours (didn’t sleep Sunday night due to the vomiting blood then being in the ER) then got to the floor and was being bugged a bunch through the day and consults and such then a few visitors. Finally passed out around 11-12 that night.

The 2nd day I was still vomiting some blood, my GI doc didn’t want to scope, but he did have an ENT doctor come in and spray hurricane spray into my nostrils way back there and then proceeded to stick a long thin scope into my sinuses. Nothing there but a red area, left deviated septum and some mucous.

The GI doc thought the bleeding might’ve been up there but alas was not. Around 11:45 the GI doc came in and said he guessed he was going to scope me, today if possible, if not tomorrow. Came back in and said 12:30, so that was good. Admissions dropped in after that asking how I was gonna pay, etc (they always pick the best times to drop by… -.-) Endo nurses were nice as always and a pleasure to have. They started sedating me, benadryl 50mg, Versed and then 200mgc~ fentanyl and I was slightly sitting up talking to them a bit and they told me to rest my head back down and then I was out.

Ended up there was nothing found, just old blood in the stomach, diagnosed with Dieulafoy’s lesion (vascular problem, vessel bleeds then stops, bleeds stops, etc so can’t really find sometimes without it actually bleeding). Got discharged the day after.

Got home and checked my application for transport at my former workplace, was declined. My former boss believes its a year to return, but I’m am almost certain its 6months if you voluntarily quit and a year if fired or such. Wish I could find where it says it so I know what is correct. 😦
